A vine, a region, a process
Where uncaria tomentosa comes from, how it becomes Paradise Blend, and what we will and will not say about it.
Uncaria
tomentosa
Uncaria tomentosa is a woody climbing vine that grows up through the canopy of the Amazon basin. Its common name — cat’s claw — comes from the pair of curved thorns at each leaf node that it uses to hook onto host trees on the way up.
It has a long history of traditional use in the regions where it grows. We are describing the plant here, not making a claim about what it does: nothing on this page or in our labeling is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
What matters for a product like this is specificity. Uncaria tomentosa extract is the only active botanical in a Paradise Blend tablet. It is not kratom, not a kratom derivative, and contains no 7-hydroxymitragynine.

What we won't tell you
We will not tell you how this will make you feel. That is a line a lot of this category crosses, and it is the reason the category has the reputation it has.
What we will tell you: the botanical, the milligrams per tablet, the count per package, where the plant comes from, and the lab result for the batch in your hand. If a claim is not on the certificate of analysis or the label, we do not make it.
